The Good Die Young

heavenly

I learned today that a former stellar student of mine, Tiffany Hanke, who graduated in 2004 recently passed away. I am struck with grief that a beautiful young girl, with so much promise, died so young.

I remember her well, because she touched my life. Not only because of her brilliance but her effervescent personality that was so endearing. She was a rare student with a distinctive work ethic.

Tiffany was beautiful, smart, hardworking, and so driven to succeed that she was in an elite class compared to the thousands of students who have sat in my classes over the years.

I remembered her because of her smile, her tenacity and her will to be the best. I am heart broken at the untimely demise of a young lady, with so much promise. And a young family is now coping with her void.

Rest In Peace, sweet Tiffany.
It’s not supposed to be this way — the good must not die so young.
