The Good Guys

One does not need advanced degrees, or fame and fortune, to be defined as men (or women) of character. I have been blessed to have met high integrity, loyal men who don’t live their lives in the executive suites.

Three come to mind immediately — my brother from another mother, Kevin Suarez from Spartan Builders. He is my “go to guy” for just about everything. Kevin built our schools (the first 16 years ago) and the lifelines of our families are intertwined in multiple ways.

Rick the Handyman has been with the schools for about 12 years. Hardworking; just a phone call away; no task too small, or too big.

And last but not least, Fredy — who has kept the schools looking spotless for more than a decade, and give it the extra elbow grease when needed.

My life would certainly have been more complex without these guys. More importantly, my life is more fulfilled because of these fine men.

They may not wear suits and ties to work, but they have an authentic, earthy, quality that makes this world a better place, and my life so much easier.
