The Good Old Days

There is something to be said about the authenticity of relationships that go back to the college days.  These friendships were unpretentious, raw, pure, and unvarnished.

The past two days these relationships have come front and center.  I spoke to Bipu, my college roommate, and to “Thakur” after 40 years.

The conversations were uplifting for my heart and my spirit. It was good to see Thakur, after 4 decades.  The beauty of grounded relationships is that even after ions, we could pick up exactly where we left off — no pretensions, no airs, no agendas.

For a few hours I travelled down memory lane, reliving the moments of my life that helped define who I am today. Reach out to your buddies if you can — the journey is worth the destination.
