Sleep tight. Secure in the comfort of your home wrapped in your warm blankets. Our finest soldiers stand watch on our borders and in distant lands fighting for, and preserving our freedom. It takes a selfless, special type of person to sacrifice their own well being, and possibly their life, for the benefit of others. To them, we owe a debt of gratitude.
I salute our Veterans. Brave men and women who have devoted their lives to preserving the freedom for this amazing country. The irony? Sometimes it takes a foreigner, from a distant land, to appreciate the true beauty of America. Those who were born here have a tendency to expect freedom as a birth-right.
Don’t for a second, take your freedom for granted. There are billions around the world who would trade places with us in a heart beat. What can we do to help? As a society, we owe it to ourselves to take care of them. Shame on the Veterans Administration where Vets have to wait over 400 days to see a doctor. As individuals, we have to learn to honor them by paying it forward.
Next time you see a Veteran, thank them for their service. Buy them a coffee. Express your gratitude. God Bless this beautiful country, and the brave men and women, who enable us to be free……..
