The British ruled India for two hundred years and finally left (unwillingly) in 1947. Today, on the auspicious day of Diwali, Mr. Rishi Sunak a man of Indian origin was designated to be the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Life does come full circle. Not sure our forefathers had ever imagined a day like this, or this ironic turn of events. Today, we celebrate Diwali and say cheers to diversity.
Talent wins over color. Education and skills triumph over ethnicity and national origin. Today is a wonderful reminder that anything is possible with hard work, and a little bit of divine intervention.
