My dogs wag their tails with never ending fervor to show their excitement — multiple times during the day. Molly spends a fair amount of time chasing her tail, in perpetual circles, with little success.
In the business world, we let the tails wag the dogs. Mammoth bureaucracies, policies and procedures that kill the entrepreneurial spirit, and some clueless regulatory agencies, fit the bill of giant tails.
When the tail is bigger than the dog, nothing good comes out of it. We should leave the wagging to our four legged friends.
