The Ties that Bind

It’s been almost a year since Judi left us, yet the hits keep on coming.  Today, we missed her professional genius.  As we slapped together a proposal and sorted through old documents, one questions was front and center — what would Judi do? How would she handle it? She always knew where everything was, and knew how to approach every project.  Clearly her skill set. Clearly not mine.

More than the output, I missed engaging in our professional banter, and the excitement that stems from new assignments. Some people always bring out  the best in us, and make work fun. She did that consistently.

That’s the thing about death — the void is really, and forever.  This project feels different in so many ways.  Her touch may be missing, but we will prevail. Time to make her proud.
