The Tragedy of Our Times

It’s not supposed to be this way — fathers and mothers should not be burying their sons and daughters. A family struggles with the most “unexplainable brokenness” as their 15 year young daughter was shot at a California high school. Another 14 year old child also lost his life. Here we go again….

This is not about gun ownership or constitutional rights. This is about how a civilized society allows its sons and daughters to be killed while they are in school — learning, growing, and now trying to stay alive.

There has been so much death and destruction of lives that, over time, we have become desensitized  to the murder of innocents. This is probably one of the greatest tragedies of our times. And one of the saddest commentaries about a broken America.

  1. I feel like I am reeling, like I am on acid, can this all be real? I am praying more, and crying more, than ever in my life
