What is happening around us? News of two more people diagnosed with Cancer. One, a friend and colleague. The other, a former Dean who believed in me and went to bat for me to ensure I got the credit he thought I deserved. How often do we go to bat for others? Most of the time we focus on ourselves — our money pockets, our goals, our needs. The good ones learn to focus on others.
Is this onslaught of cancer due to our genetically modified food? Global warming? Bad karma? What is it? Can ANYBODY shed light on this madness?
My friend Judi, among others, is going through her treatment with a mental and emotional fortitude that is not for the faint of heart. I love and admire her more now than ever before.
My mind and heart are reeling with this suffering of genuinely good people and some who are family. Time for some divine intervention. May God watch over these good people, and others who continue to fight against this monster. Please join me in sending prayers.
