In rare moments of fate, our lives get intertwined with those special people who make us better as human beings. I have been blessed to have a few of those in my life.
One of them teeters in that chasm between life and the heavens that await. And for her I pray. She has taught me about kindness, patience and the importance of doing the right thing. She saw brilliance in me, when I was unable to see it in myself.
It’s nice to have that objective voice of reason and that anchor of moral fortitude. Compassion and rigor are strange bed fellows, yet we need both to grow and flourish. We must cherish those that make us better. Given the fragility of life, we must make every moment — of our time together — count.
