“ Your brand is what people say about you after you leave the room”, is Jeff Bezos’ brilliant insight. My colleague clearly did not get the memo. It’s been a pattern of behavior with him for all the years I have known him. Nice guy, poor rhetoric.
When you have to toot your own horn, it loses its punch. At that point, it’s just noise. The unpleasant kind.
There is wisdom in letting your work speak for itself. Good work never goes unnoticed. Loud noises just fade away.
