Twenty Years. Twenty Days.

We nurtured and grew a professional relationship over twenty years. And just like that, it all fell apart in twenty days.  I often teach my students that it is a lot easier to grow, than it is to manage growth.

When banks merge, they create mammoth monsters that gobble up long standing relationships and customers fall by the way side as collateral damage.  That is a shame.

Mega mergers can result in mega heartbreak.  And mega erosion of trust.  When you lose trust in any relationship,  there is no fall back. And those that walk away, never come back.
