There was a time when finding gainful employment was part of the rites of passage into adulthood. People took pride in earning an honest days pay for an honest days work.
Now our world has been turned upside down. The government has stepped in to provide “comfort checks” where it is economically more lucrative to stay at home, rather than head to work.
When did America become a socialistic society? When did people find solace in basking in hand me outs? Why would the state ever incentivize people not to work?
The tenents of free enterprise are on shaky ground. That is never a good thing, and just a little bit scary.
