Voice Mail Hell

We have all been there. Customer service at its worst, trapped in voice mail hell. They put you on automatic hold, and let you battle your wits against those that have no interest in helping, or answering your questions.

They are quick to apologize, read from a bad script, and then mysteriously get disconnected. Back to the drawing board. This is the point I start pulling out my hair.

Today we were on hold with a Florida State office for over an hour. What exactly do these people do for a living? How much incompetence do we need to answer a phone call? Don’t answer that. We all know that incompetence is key to a government job. And we are on the unpleasant receiving end.
