There is something serene and uplifting about walking the trails in the local state parks around our communities. Since my sister has moved down here, we have discovered a few parks, taking in the natural sights and sounds and being one with nature.
I have particularly enjoyed our quiet walks in this unseasonably cool weather. It’s a little bit like meditation — alone time, lost in my own head, and slowly soaking in the natural beauty of God’s beautiful earth. This stuff is good for the soul.
I have finally found a new hobby — to explore these parks and scenic walkways buried in the wilderness. Try it some time — it’s a gift that keeps on giving.
